BENGALI PLAYS

Tringsha Shatabdi

(30th Century)

Tringsha Shatabdi is a play that puts humankind on trial for the deadly bombing of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and the hydrogen bomb explosion in Bikini Atolls.  By recreating the events through a trial where true historic characters are brought on stage: pilots, family members, children, common people affected by the inhumane event, it challenges the conscience of humankind and questions our callous and insensitive reaction to “forever wars” around us that are taking away the lives of innocent people.
